Liberty Richter To Distribute New Premium, Maine Seafood Product From Whiting, Maine Based Gourmet Food Producer This Summer
Whiting, Maine, (May 10, 2007) ---- Look’s Gourmet Food Company announces the launch of its all-natural Bar Harbor brand Whole Shelled Maine Cherrystone Clams. The new product will debut July 8-10, 2007, at the Fancy Food Show, New York, NY, and be available through Liberty Richter to be distributed in major retail and specialty food stores nationally by early fall. Bar Harbor brand products include unique, all-natural, fancy-packed whole Maine lobster, whole shelled Maine mussels, chopped clams, and pure clam juice, seafood chowders and bisques, nostalgic seafood sauces, traditional Indian Pudding, and vegetarian gourmet baked beans.
The taste of the wind, weather, and clear, cold water; it’s not a flavor that needs improving. “We create our specialty seafood products the way people on the Maine coast have been doing for generations – loaded with simple, easy to understand all-natural ingredients like fresh clams, plump mussels, and whole Maine lobster”, says Cynthia Fisher, VP of Marketing & Quality Assurance. “It’s as close to “fresh off the boat” as you can get without being here. Bar Harbor is a special place. You can taste it!”
Founded in 1917 by Willard Look as the East Machias Canning Company, the 86-year old family-owned business was renamed Look’s Gourmet Food Company when purchased in 2003 by former Pepperidge Farm and Odwalla, Inc., executive, Mike Cote. Using the time-honored tradition of small-batch production with only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients, Bar Harbor products are gaining national recognition as some of the highest quality shelf-stable foods available on the market today. The company’s mission integrates local purchasing, sustainable, and environmental conservation practices throughout its entire organization. The production facility is located on Holmes Bay, one of Maine’s pristine Downeast coastlines.
Bar Harbor products will be displayed and available for sampling at Booth #1336 and Booth #4754 at the Fancy Food Show in New York, July 8-10, 2007. For more information please visit www.barharborfoods.com.
